Job Description

We, a global leader in polymer coatings, are seeking a skilled and experienced Polymer Chemist to join our team. The Polymer Chemist will be responsible for conducting research, developing new products, and improving existing products in the polymer industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of polymer characterization, and processing, and a proven track record of developing innovative polymer formulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Characterize polymer structure and properties using various analytical techniques such as microscopic techniques, FTIR
  • Characterize polymer-composite properties using various analytical techniques such as TGA, DSC
  • Conduct polymer formulation studies to develop new products and improve existing products.
  • Develop Product coating processes for various substates and geometries
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support product development and commercialization efforts.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest research and development in polymer chemistry and related fields.
  • Write technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
  • B.S. in Polymer Chemistry or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as FTIR, TGA, and DSC.
  • Strong knowledge in structure-property relationships of polymer-composite materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with polymer synthesis and wet chemistry
  • Experience with polymer formulation and product development.
  • Polymeric coating characterization experience is a plus.
