Hydromer , Inc. enters into Medical Coating Agreement with a Russian Medical Device Company for Cardiovascular Catheters.
Branchburg, July 16, 2013,--- Hydromer, Inc. (HYDI.PK) and a Russian Medical Device company have entered into a Supply and Support Agreement.
Under the terms of this agreement, the Russian Cardiovascular Catheter company is licensed to use the proprietary Hydromer® hydrophilic coating on their PTCA Microcatheters. Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) catheters are used in minimally invasive procedures to open up blocked coronary arteries.
The Hydromer medical coatings are very lubricious and slippery, reduce friction, improve and ease delivery of PTCA catheters through the difficult vascular pathways. In addition, the Hydromer coating has unique properties to maintain lubricity and durability while significantly reducing particulates, and remaining in compliance with the stringent USP#788 low particulates in blood standards.
“We have been providing our Hydromer coatings to numerous PTCA catheter manufactures around the world and very honored to welcome our first Russian client.”, commented Martin von Dyck, Executive Vice President of Hydromer, Inc., adding, “We view the rapidly developing Russian Medical Device industry as an important market opportunity and have Dr. Elena McGuire, (e-mail: email@example.com) a former Russian medical doctor on staff to help address this strategic focus.”
